Follow every step in order. Do not download loose DLLs, choose an injector, or copy files into Garry's Mod—Capyware Hub handles the correct signed files automatically.
The Hub download and key activation flow is shared. Roblox has its own Library card; Garry’s Mod setup steps below apply only to Garry’s Mod. Check the Roblox product page for current compatibility, installation steps, and availability.
The x64 Hub detects whether the running Garry's Mod process is Win32 or x64 and selects the matching verified payload. The product card should show 0.2.1-beta.3.
1
Prepare Windows and required components
Before installing Capyware, make sure all four items are ready:
A 64-bit Windows 11 PC (Windows 10 22H2 remains supported for this beta)
Steam and a fully installed, working copy of Garry's Mod
A valid, unused Capyware license key
Internet access for activation, installation, repair, and updates
This private-beta installer is unsigned. If Microsoft SmartScreen shows Unknown Publisher, verify that it came from capyware.app, choose More info, then Run anyway.
Finish the current-user installation and open Capyware Hub.
Installer verification
The authorized download page displays the current installer SHA-256. Download authorization lasts one minute and does not activate your license.
Do not turn off antivirus, Windows Security, Smart App Control, or the firewall. If security policy blocks the installer completely, stop and contact support.
5
Activate, install, and verify the product version
In Hub, choose Activate license.
Paste the complete license key and submit it once.
Select Capyware for Garry's Mod and click Install.
Wait for Installation verified. Do not close Hub during the download.
Confirm the product card says VERSION 0.2.1-beta.3.
If the card shows any older version, close and reopen Hub while online, click Update, then click Repair. Do not continue until it shows 0.2.1-beta.3.
Your license duration starts at the first successful activation. Never send anyone a screenshot containing the complete key.
6
Start the game, then launch Capyware
Close any old or stuck Garry's Mod windows and launch the game once through Steam.
Join a permitted server or start a local game and wait until the map is fully loaded.
Alt+Tab to Hub and click Launch one time.
Hub checks for updates, detects Win32 or x64, and starts the matching verified injector automatically.
Return to Garry's Mod, wait five seconds, and press Insert once.
Do: keep one game instance open and let Hub choose the files.
Never: run a loose injector, rename DLLs, or copy files into the game folder.
7
Configure Aim and confirm the menu works
Press Insert to open Capyware Deck. Laptop users may need Fn + Insert.
Open the Aim page and switch Aim enabled on.
Leave Dry run off. Dry run selects a target without moving your view.
The default Aim key is MOUSE5, usually the rear side mouse button.
Hold MOUSE5 while a visible target is inside the FOV circle. Aim does not stay active when the key is released.
Choose Save before closing the Deck.
InsertOpen or close Deck
MOUSE5Hold for Aim
MOUSE4Hold for Trigger when enabled
Use Capyware only where the game, platform, and server operator permit it.
Troubleshooting
Match the message to the fix.
Start with the first matching row. Do not swap files or guess at an injector version.
Hub says wrong version
Close Hub and every Garry's Mod process. Reopen Hub online, click Update, then Repair. The Garry's Mod card must show 0.2.1-beta.3 before Launch.
How do I get 32-bit?
Steam → Garry's Mod → Properties → Betas → Beta Participation → None. None is the standard main branch. Let Steam finish updating before starting the game.
Do I change the injector?
No. Never move, rename, replace, or run an injector yourself. Hub detects the running game and automatically chooses the signed Win32 or x64 files.
Launch cannot find the game
Start Garry's Mod through Steam, load fully into a map or server, then Alt+Tab and press Launch once in Hub. Run both programs normally—not as administrator.
Injected, but no menu
Return to the game, wait five seconds, and press Insert once. On a compact keyboard use Fn + Insert. Confirm the game window is focused and borderless mode is enabled.
Menu opens, but Aim does nothing
Aim is intentionally off by default. Open Aim, enable it, make sure Dry run is off, and hold MOUSE5 while a visible target is inside the FOV circle.
Hub will not open
Install Microsoft's WebView2 Evergreen Runtime, restart Windows, and try again. Also install both current Visual C++ packages listed below.
Services cannot be reached
Check the Capyware status page, set Windows date and time to automatic, and retry without a VPN or proxy. Do not disable Windows Security or the firewall.
Still stuck? Send useful information, not your key.
Include an uncropped screenshot of the Hub error, its Support ID, the version on the Garry's Mod card, your Steam Beta Participation selection, your Windows version, and whether the menu opens after pressing Insert. Never include the complete license key.
